The Student Educational Planner ("SEP" or simply "Planner") is a tool that helps you plan your future course work.
In the left hand pane is a condensed version of your current Audit. In cases where a requirement has not been fulfilled and the system provides one or more specific courses that can fulfill that requirement, you can drag that course into the plan in the right hand pane.
In the right hand pane is the plan. Up to six courses can be planned in any one term. Make sure you select the term from the Select Term menu. If you wish to add notes to the plan for a term, simply enter them into the Notes box. Each Plan should be given a brief description in the Description box. A typical description might be "Plan as of Fall, 2008".
Once you have entered the courses that you plan to take in each term in the Plan, you need to save the plan by clicking the Save Plan button.
A student may have any number of Educational Plans saved in the system. For example, if you're considering a few different majors, you might have one plan for each potential major.
Remember to check that the courses you plan on taking will actually be offered in the semester you've placed them. Except for a very few courses, Degree Works does not do this checking for you.
Once you have saved a plan, you can run a new audit showing the courses in that plan by clicking Process New.
